To seek advice and input from local stakeholders and residents, the Jefferson County Department of Public Works convened a Sewer Advisory Group. This group was made up of residents and property owners, local business owners, local government representatives, and non-profit organizations. During the initial planning phases, the Sewer Advisory Group provided input on the various proposed sewer system designs. In later phases of this project, the Sewer Advisory Group provided the County with their recommendations and guidance on proposed sewer policies.
Once Jefferson County receives the necessary funding for the Port Hadlock Wastewater System, it will re-convene the Sewer Advisory Group. In these next phases of the project, the Sewer Advisory Group will continue to provide the County with recommendations and community perspective.
