Payments may be made from the website.  To pay by phone, call the phone number 1-877-812-8072 and enter your property ID and payment amount.   A convenience fee applies - credit cards 2.5%, E-checks temporarily $0.50 (normally $2.00), Visa Debit $3.95.

PREPAYMENT: State law doesn’t allow the county treasurer to collect property taxes until the tax roll has been certified. Refer to RCW 84.52.080RCW 84.56.010 and RCW 84.56.020. The tax roll is certified mid-January of each year. Amounts owed for each year are available online in late January of each year. 


First Half property taxes are due April 30th. Second half are due October 31st of each year.

Jefferson County Sales & Use Tax Rates

Sales and Use Tax Basic rate as of April 1, 2021 is 9.1% on goods and services; hotel/motel users pay an additional 2%. Rate will increase to 9.4% within the City of Port Townsend April 1, 2024. Refer to WDOR Sales Tax information for current information and notices.
