Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) benefits for WIC eligible participants.

Each year, Jefferson County receives a limited supply of WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) benefits for eligible WIC participants. These benefits are distributed according to our policy (available upon request), to eligible WIC participants who express interest. 

Starting May 30, WIC participants can call the JCPH WIC office to leave their name and confirmed mailing address in order to receive 2023 WIC FMNP benefits by mail, while supplies last. Starting May 30, the first 92 eligible WIC participants to contact our office will be added to the list to received 2023 FMNP benefits. 

We will keep a waiting list in case we receive additional allotments of WIC FMNP benefits form WA WIC office.

WIC Fruit and Vegetable Increase!

WIC's temporary increase for fruit and vegetable benefits is continuing through September 30, 2023. WIC participants will get more money for frozen and fresh fruits and vegetables in their WIC benefits each month.

  • $25/month for children 
  • $44/month for pregnant and postpartum participants 
  • $49/month for breastfeeding participants 
  • $73.50/month for participants fully breastfeeding multiples

WIC (Women Infants & Children) is a supplemental food program delivered by Jefferson County Public Health for income eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and children under age 5 that offers nutrition education, health checkup screenings, and food benefits. By appointment, held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
