[ARCHIVED] Road Work in Port Ludlow Village

PLV Intersection

In addition to many other County roads,  Public Works is currently resurfacing Oak Bay Road and Paradise Bay Road in Port Ludlow with a new chip seal surface. This will extend the life and serviceability of the existing roadway. Please watch out for the Road Crew and slow down for them. Upon completion of the chip seal, new striping, stop bars and crosswalks will be applied. The new striping plan responds to the Port Ludlow Village Traffic Engineering Study of June 2020. The Study identified the need to re-channelize lanes at the intersection of Oak Bay/Paradise Bay/Osprey Ridge to fit safer speeds, a walking community, and less traffic infractions. The new pavement marking plan (below) removes the left-turn pocket and narrows the road width to make turning movements and pedestrian access visible and straightforward. New crosswalks will be striped on all four legs of the intersection. For more chip seal information and status, click here.Striping Plan
