Jefferson County Public Works, as lead agency, will conduct a Call for Federal Surface Transportation Block Grant Program (STBG) Projects from August 25 to September 15, 2021. Information regarding STBG-eligible projects is available from the Federal Highway Administration https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/fastact/factsheets/stbgfs.cfm. Eligible agencies can submit applications (see links below) for transportation projects eligible under the FAST Act, to be funded up to 86.5% of costs with federal aid dollars. Jefferson County’s 2022 to 2025 regional STBG allocation is approximately $1,734,000.
To be considered, complete applications must be received by 5:00 PM, Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Jefferson County Public Works, 623 Sheridan St., Port Townsend WA, 98368 or by email to pubworks@co.jefferson.wa.us. The STBG Selection Committee will meet on September 30, 2021 at 10 AM to receive and consider public comment, prior to selection of projects. The meeting will be held virtually (in accordance with County Resolution 45-21) using GoToMeeting. To attend call (646) 749-3335 and enter Access Code 677-597-437.
